Caroline McKinnon
Mediator
Mediator Empathetic, Patient, Insightful
My approach to mediation is grounded in compassion, patience, and clarity. I strive to create a calm and supportive space where clients feel safe to explore options and discover solutions that truly empower them as they move through the divorce process. I help individuals and families identify the values that matter most to them so they can build child-centered parenting plans that reflect those values and support long-term wellbeing.
What inspired you to take the path of divorce mediation?
I understand how overwhelming divorce can feel—its fears, worries, and grief are very real. I meet clients with empathy for those emotions and with the patience to allow each person to move at the pace that feels right for them. Recognizing that both partners may be in different places emotionally, I work to support each of them as they navigate their own unique path toward resolution.
My role is to help clarify needs, illuminate priorities, and encourage creative problem-solving. This process often brings clients a renewed sense of hope and a clearer view of the bigger picture—the life they are working toward beyond this moment.
What are your top hobbies? Â
I find joy and grounding in nature—whether exploring the stunning landscapes of the Southwest or spending time by the ocean whenever I can. I love gardening, reading, learning new things, and sharing time with friends and family.
