Teri Hales

Mediator, Master of Accountancy (MAcc)

Curious. Compassionate. Collaborative.

After earning my bachelor's degree in psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family, I spent years supporting people through significant life changes. Later, I earned a master's degree in accounting and worked in tax practice, where I saw the financial realities families often face during divorce. Those experiences showed me that divorce is never just emotional or financial. It's both.

As a mediator, my goal is to help people move through that transition with curiosity, compassion, and practical guidance so they can make informed decisions and move forward with clarity, dignity, and hope.

What led you to divorce mediation?

I chose mediation because it brings together two passions that have shaped my career: helping people navigate life's most difficult transitions and empowering them to make thoughtful decisions about their future.

What are your top hobbies?

The places that ground me are often the quiet ones. I love watching hummingbirds chatter to one another as they dart through my garden or listening to the breeze move through the Ponderosa pines along a mountain trail. My favorite moments are spent beside my husband and sons, curled up with a great movie or sharing an unforgettable meal. At the same time, I'm energized by new ideas, shared adventures, and the joy of building community. I've found that the richest life is one that makes room for both.
